About the Owner

Ms. Cydny A. Neville has over a decade of experience working with agencies across Northern Virginia, to enhance the lives of youth; and nearly two decades of experience in the nonprofit sector.  A certified master’s level English teacher, Philanthropist, Change Agent, and Community Advocate, she has a wealth of experience facilitating community outreach programs throughout the Commonwealth.

Ms. Neville also hones experience of developing, managing, and maintaining community partnerships to enhance programming for area non-profits, as well as establishing partnerships in the community to improve the outreach efforts on the local government level, facilitating parenting classes, prevention outreach, as well as writing and managing grants (small scale to Federal level), and developing programmatic grants based on community needs assessments.

Ms. Neville holds an appointment, by the Honorable Governor Ralph Northam to serve on the State Historical Records Advisory Board for the Library of Virginia!  Appointment duties include: soliciting or developing proposals for NHPRC grant projects;  reviewing proposals by institutions in the state and making recommendations about these to the Commission;  reviewing through reports and otherwise monitoring the operation and progress of projects in the state financed by NHPRC grants to list a few.

In addition, she has served: on the Historic Dumfries Virginia Board, the 2012 and 2013 Human Development and Education Policy Committee of the Virginia Municipal League. She is a member: of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, founding President of the Friends of Montclair Community Library, member of ASCD, VASCD, NCTE, VATE, NEA, and VEA, a member of the Minority Political Leadership Institute’s class of 2012, a member of the 2013 class of Leadership Prince William, and a member of the Virginia Progressive Leadership Program’s 1st class!

She has been recognized as one of Virginia Leadership Institute’s 2013 “Top 10 Under 40 recipients.”  In 2014 she was named one of emPower Magazine’s “empower Players” for Social Activism, and was honored to be one of Prince William County’s  2014 “Human Rights Award” recipients!  In 2015 Ms. Neville was recognized as one of Prince William Living’s “Most Influential Women” in Prince William County.  In 2016 Ms. Neville was recognized by the Theta Tau Sigma chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., as the 2016 Social Action Humanitarian, and was the 2016 recipient of the Junior League of Northern Virginia’s Julia Doig Wilcox award, for selflessly serving the Northern Virginia Community.

Cydny A, Neville currently resides in Prince William County with her son, Amir Nehemiah.  Of all of her titles and accomplishments, being a mother is by far, the one that brings her the most joy!  When she is not working in her purpose, enhancing the world around her, she enjoys: nature, photography, dancing, meditating, and painting – she has a natural love and appreciation of the arts.
